Certificate collection: Unilorin Offer New System for Certificate Collection

On Monday 6th January 2025, Mr. Mansur Alfanla, the Register of University of Ilorin, announced a new system allowing graduates to receive their unclaimed Certificate through courier service.
Mr. Alfanla highlighted that the initiative aligns with international best practice and aims to improve convenience for university’s alumni
However, the University had released their internal memorandum on the 18th of December 2024, that the deadline for certificate collection is 17th of January 2025 and Graduates who fail to collect their certificates by this date will be attract a fine of #3,000 per week.
“The new system allows graduates to opt for courier delivery as an alternative to in-person collection. This marks a significant departure from the university’s previous policy, which prohibited third-party collection of certificates,” Alfanla stated in the new announcement.
“Graduates opting for the courier service must submit the following: original statement of result, court affidavit, indemnity form, and a valid international passport (for those residing abroad),” Alfanla reiterated.
He further said, For those who prefer in-person collection, certificates will be available at the university premises between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
“This development is particularly beneficial for graduates residing outside the country, as it eliminates the need for them to travel to Ilorin,” Alfanla added
