CDCFIB Announces Nationwide Recruitment into Paramilitary Agencies

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially opened its recruitment portal for the enlistment of qualified Nigerians into four major paramilitary agencies.
In a public notice released on Monday, June 23, the Board called on eligible candidates to apply for vacancies in the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
According to the announcement, the recruitment exercise will fill various positions across three major categories: the Superintendent Cadre (Category A), the Inspectorate Cadre (Category B), and the Assistant Cadre (Category C).
Details of Available Positions
- Category A: Superintendent Cadre
- Superintendent of Corrections (CONMESS 02): Open only to holders of MBBS and applicable to the Nigerian Correctional Service.
- Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09): Requires a degree in Engineering or Law, and is open only in the Federal Fire Service.
- Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 08): Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma.
- Category B: Inspectorate Cadre
- Inspector of Corrections (CONHESS 06): Open to Registered Nurses, Midwives, or RN/M, available in NCS, FFS, and NSCDC.
- Assistant Inspector (CONPASS 06): Requires NCE or ND qualifications.
- Category C: Assistant Cadre
- Assistant II (CONPASS 04): Requires at least five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics or a Trade Test certificate.
- Assistant I (CONPASS 03): Requires four O’Level credits or relevant trade qualifications.
Application Guidelines
All applications must be submitted online via the CDCFIB portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.org starting from Thursday, June 26, 2025. The application window will remain open for three weeks.
Applicants are warned not to apply for more than one agency. Multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification.
Statutory Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be Nigerian by birth;
- Be between 18 and 35 years old;
- Be physically and mentally fit, with proof from a government hospital;
- Possess minimum height of 1.65m for men and 1.60m for women;
- Have no criminal record or financial embarrassment;
- Possess a minimum chest measurement of 0.87m (for men only);
- Be of good character;
- Be computer literate (advantageous but not mandatory).
