Call For Applications: WIPO Young Experts Program 2026/2027 for Young IP Leaders (Funded to Geneva, Switzerland plus 5,000 CHF Monthly Stipend)

The WIPO Young Experts Program (YEP) supports the development of early-career professionals who are passionate about Intellectual Property (IP) and its role in driving innovation and sustainable development worldwide.
Through this 2-year competitive program, a select group of young and talented professionals will work first-hand on WIPO’s various initiatives. The Program offers exposure to both technical and strategic aspects of IP, allowing YEP participants to gain skills and knowledge that can contribute to the future economic growth of their countries and regions.
This is a unique learning opportunity for your career – not only about IP, but also about collaboration, multilateralism and global impact.
Requirements
Max 35 years old at the time application is submitted
Available for 24 months for 2026 – 2027
A University degree
At least 2 years relevant experience
Excellent analytical, research & organisational skills
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Excellent written & spoken English
Knowledge of, or experience in IP, innovation or creativity
Benefits
5’000 Swiss Francs (CHF) / month
Contribution to cover 75% of medical insurance costs
Accident insurance
Contribution towards travel expenses
Possible assistance on VISA entry in Switzerland
Possible guidance on accomodation
Application Timeline:
Applications open: July 8, 2025
Applications close: August 14, 2025
Initial screening tests: end of August 2025
Virtual Interview: September to October 2025
Selection: November 2025
Onboarding: December 2025 and January 2026
Program start: February 1, 2026
