Call For Applications: IAHS ARC Research Mobility Grant for Early Career Hydrologists in Africa(Grant Amount is up to £1,500)

Are you an early-career hydrologist looking to expand your research, skills, and professional network across Africa?
The IAHS Africa Regional Committee (ARC) is offering Research Mobility Grants to support short-term visits (minimum 2 weeks) to other African institutions. This opportunity is designed to foster South–South collaboration, interdisciplinary research, and capacity building for young professionals in hydrology and related fields.
Overview
The International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) is committed to leading hydrological science and engaging scientists worldwide, particularly in financially disadvantaged countries. The IAHS Africa Regional Committee (ARC) helps to achieve this by supporting and mentoring the African hydrological community through networking activities and connecting the African hydrological community with the global stage.
The IAHS ARC is pleased to announce a Research Mobility Grant for Early Career Hydrologists based in Africa. This grant supports short-term visits (min. 2 weeks) to collaborating institutions within Africa to foster research collaboration, skills development, and knowledge exchange.
ELIGIBILITY
- African nationals based at African institutions
- PhD students or PhD holders (within 7 years of graduation)
- Research in hydrology or a related field
The Grant Amount is up to £1,500 with a Mobility Period: July – December 2025
