Call for Applications: Cassava Change-Makers Pitch Competition 2025 ( UpTo N5 Million Prize)

Are you a young innovator passionate about transforming Nigeria’s cassava value chain? Here’s your chance to bring your idea to life and win funding and development support!
The Cassava Change-Makers Pitch Competition invites Nigerian youth to submit game-changing ideas under the theme:
“Youth-Led Innovations for a Sustainable Cassava Future.”
This competition is part of the Agbeyewa initiative and will take place during the World Cassava Day celebrations in Abuja.
Focus Areas:
We are looking for innovative concepts that fall within these core areas:
- Production innovations that increase yield and reduce labor requirements.
- Technologies that enhance efficiency, lower energy use, and enable new product development.
- Market solutions that link value chain actors and improve consumer awareness and demand.
Eligibility Requirements
- Open only to Nigerian youth aged 18–35.
- Applicants must be available to attend.
- World Cassava Day in Abuja on June 28, 2025, if selected as a finalist.
- Submissions must be original and based on real challenges in Nigeria’s cassava value chain.
Submission Guidelines
- Prepare a 5-slide pitch deck explaining your concept, including background, problem, solution, implementation strategy, and expected outcomes.
- Introduce yourself and your idea in a short video.
- Upload and share the link to your pitch with your application.
Prizes
- 1st Place– ₦2,000,000 + Business Development Support
- 2nd Place – ₦1,000,000 + Business Development Support
- 3rd Place – ₦800,000 + Business Development Support
- 4th Place – ₦700,000 + Business Development Support
- 5th Place – ₦500,000 + Business Development Support
