C-SAGAS Charity Foundation Launches ₦3M School Quiz in Ikwo

The C-SAGAS Charity Foundation has unveiled plans for its Annual Arts and Science Secondary School Quiz Competition, set to take place in July 2025.
This initiative, championed by His Eminence, High Chief Architect Christian Asaga Nwali, PhD, also known as Okpata Ozua Oha, is part of the Foundation’s broader mission to promote educational excellence in Ebonyi State. A sum of ₦3 million has been approved to fund this important academic event.
The quiz competition, specifically targeting secondary schools in Ikwo Local Government Area, aligns with the educational vision embedded in the People’s Charter of Needs policy of the Ebonyi State Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Builder Prince Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru.
It is a deliberate effort by the C-SAGAS Charity Foundation to support the Governor’s administration in enhancing foundational education across rural communities.

The event will feature two major phases. The first phase will involve a zonal examination conducted simultaneously across five locations in Ikwo on Saturday, 12th July 2025. Students from both public and private schools are expected to participate, with Mathematics and English Language forming part of the core subjects, alongside Science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, as well as Arts subjects including Literature in English, Economics, and Government. Only students in SS1 to SS3 are eligible to participate.
Candidates who excel in the first round will proceed to the final phase scheduled for Saturday, 30th August 2025, which will be hosted at the Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo. From this final round, the top ten students—five from Arts and five from Science—will be selected and honored with cash prizes and certificates in recognition of their academic excellence. Additionally, the best performing schools in each category will receive awards, and special recognition will be extended to ten outstanding teachers across key subject areas.
“Participation in the competition is entirely free. Under no circumstances should any student be asked to make payments. Each school principal is responsible for selecting eligible students and ensuring that their names, school details, and preferred exam center are submitted accordingly. Registration begins on June 2nd and ends on June 30th, 2025, during which interest forms can be collected and returned at no cost”.
For further inquiries or to submit entries, principals are advised to contact Engr. Dr. Archibong Friday, Secretary of the Educational Services and Skill Acquisition Team of the C-SAGAS Charity Foundation, or reach out to the NUT Chairman, Ikwo LGA.
Speaking on the initiative, Associate Professor Arthur Nwachukwu, who heads the Education Services and Skill Acquisition division of the Foundation, emphasized the importance of the competition as a platform to identify and celebrate academic talent. He reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to raising the standard of education and nurturing the intellectual potential of Ebonyi’s youth.
