BREAKING: Ganduje Appointed Chairman of FAAN Board

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed former Kano State Governor and former APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as the Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
The appointment was officially announced by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, as part of a broader list of 42 individuals selected to head governing boards of key federal agencies, including immigration, civil defence, and correctional services.
Dr. Ganduje’s new role has been met with mixed reactions. Supporters, including members of the APC and civic groups like the Initiative for Good Governance, praised the decision, describing it as a reward for his administrative experience and leadership qualities.
Former lawmaker Hon. Kolawole Babatunde also commended the appointment, calling it “well deserved” and expressing confidence in Ganduje’s ability to drive reforms and improve the country’s airport infrastructure.
