Boss Mustapha Denies Defecting From APC to Opposition Coalition

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has dismissed reports linking him to the opposition coalition, African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the claims as false and unfounded.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Mustapha said the news circulating on social media was “fake” and urged Nigerians to disregard it.

“My attention has been drawn to a news story in circulation associating me with the opposition alliance and their choice of the ADC as their political party. I want the general public to know that this is fake news. I am not in any opposition alliance, and I am not in any discussion with those who are involved,” the statement read in part.

Reaffirming his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mustapha stressed that he remains committed to the party he helped to establish. “I am a founding father of the APC,” he noted, adding that he could not walk away from the party.

According to him, while the APC, like any political organisation, faces its own challenges, the right approach is to resolve them internally rather than defect to another platform.
