Former Big Brother Naija housemate Antoinette Lecky, popularly known as Anto Lecky, has been appointed Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Creative Economy by Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo.

Her appointment was confirmed in a letter dated June 23, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor. It read in part:
“The Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved your appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Tourism and Creative Economy with effect from June 23, 2025.”

Prior to her new role, Anto built a multifaceted career in the creative industry. She served as arts and special projects lead at ElectHER, programme manager at Kunle Afolayan’s KAP Film and Television Academy, and head of operations at Nigeria’s first private basketball league. She also hosted the DStv travel and food show Sights of Flavours, and most recently worked as special assistant on digital and new media to the Minister of Steel Development, Shuaibu Audu.

The appointment is part of Edo State’s broader strategy to develop its tourism and creative sectors, including initiatives to repatriate stolen Benin artefacts and establish world-class cultural institutions.

Anto rose to fame in 2018 as a housemate on Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala, where she spent 77 days before eviction. She later made history as the first female contestant voted back into the house by viewers.
