Baderinwa Tasks Principal Officers on Good Hygiene Ahead of Orientation Exercise

State Coordinator NYSC Lagos, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa, has tasked principal officials of the 2024 Batch “B” Stream I Orientation Course which opens on Wednesday on the need to take good hygiene as priority, especially in the sensitization of corps members and other course participants during the orientation course.
Mrs Baderinwa stated this on Monday in a meeting with the Camp Director, the Camp Commandant, and Heads of Committee and collaborating agencies.
The State Coordinator while engaging the officials on the preparedness for the Course said the meeting is important for the purpose of familiarization which will enable officials to work as one, without variance at course. She appealed for synergy among officials in order to successfully prosecute the camp.
She said Lagos is known for breaking barriers, doing things differently, urging them to not allow the culture absent during the course.
Speaking on the reception of corps members to the camp, she said the job of the scheme is to rechannel their minds and that any Corps member who comes into the Camp must not remain the same. She said “we must take conscious efforts to welcome them to camp and make it known to them that we are not there to punish or witch-hunt them but to shapen them and inspire them for the world at large.”
In the same vein, the Camp Director for the Course, Mrs Oluwakemi Awolola, emphasizing the message of the Director General concerning officials’ engagement with corps members, said officials must employ emotional intelligence in dealing with course participants. She urged the officials to work in synergy with themselves.
While speaking on the issue of security on camp, the Camp Commandant, Captain Olusegun Ijimakinwa, said the security bodies in the camp will work cohesively. He added that the issue of security is everyone’s responsibility not to be left for anyone. He urged the officials to work with the security bodies to enjoy a successful camp.
