Baderinwa Charges Camp Officials To Foster Collaboration

The Lagos State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps ,NYSC, Mrs. Yetunde Baderinwa has stressed the crucial need for synergy and maximum collaboration among camp officials to ensure a successful 2024 Batch “B” Stream II Orientation Course.
Mrs. Baderinwa made the call while addressing officials at the camp opening meeting held at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja.
The state coordinator noted that a cordial and collaborative relationship among officials is paramount for achieving success in the orientationexercise.

Baderinwa charged officials to work together effortlessly, stating that each unit has a unique role to play during the 21- day exercise.
She urged camp officials to welcome prospective corps members with an open mind and to create a conducive environment for them to learn and grow.
The State Coordinator charged officials to discipline erring corps members in line with NYSC laws while also serving as mentors and role models, cautioning against oversocialization with corps members, and stating the need to maintain professional boundaries.
The Camp Director, Mrs. Lydia Ike-David, also solicited cooperation from officials, stressed the need for mentorship and guidance.

She encouraged camp officials to take their responsibilities seriously, noting that Lagos is known for excellence and should maintain standards.
While speaking, the Camp Commandant, Captain Olusegun Ijimakinwa, stressed the importance of security consciousness and timely reporting of security matters.

He emphasized that security is everyone’s business and should not be left solely to security personnel.
The camp slogan, “Uniting for Excellence; Serving for Pride,” was unveiled.
