Australia Cancels Kanye West’s Visa Over Nazi-Themed Song

The Australian government has revoked Kanye West’s visa following the release of his controversial song titled “Heil Hitler.”
In a statement on Tuesday, Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said the country could not condone content that promotes Nazi ideology. The song, released in May, came months after West made a series of antisemitic remarks on social media, including statements like “I love Hitler” and “I’m a Nazi” on X (formerly Twitter).
Burke revealed that while West’s earlier comments had not triggered immediate action, the new song led to a fresh review of his eligibility to enter the country.
“It was a lower-level visa and the officials still looked at the law and said, ‘You’re going to have a song and promote that sort of Nazism, we don’t need that in Australia,’” he said. “We have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry.”
Despite being married to Australian architect Bianca Censori and having longstanding ties to the country, West’s visa was quietly canceled. However, Burke’s office did not confirm the exact date of the decision.
This move comes amid a wave of recent entry bans by Australia, including those placed last month on pro-Israel influencer Hillel Fuld and, earlier in October, on U.S. commentator Candace Owens.
