Astronomer CEO Andy Byron Placed On Leave After Viral Concert Incident

Astronomer CEO Andy Byron has been placed on leave following a viral incident at a Coldplay concert in Boston that sparked widespread attention and internal scrutiny.
During the concert, Byron was caught on the event’s “kiss cam” appearing to share an intimate moment with the company’s Head of HR, Kristin Cabot. The clip quickly circulated online, prompting the company to launch an internal investigation into the matter.
In response, Astronomer named co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy as interim CEO while the inquiry is ongoing.
Although fake apology statements attributed to Byron have been making the rounds online, the company has clarified that he has not issued any public comment.
