Arsenal Confirm Signing Of Cristhian Mosquera From Valencia

Arsenal have officially completed the signing of Spanish defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia.

The 21-year-old joins the Gunners on a long-term deal after impressing in La Liga, where he played over 6,000 minutes across two seasons — the most by any player under 21 in Europe’s top five leagues.

Mosquera, known for his versatility and composure, is expected to provide strong competition for William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães in central defence. He can also operate at right-back if needed.

The transfer fee is reported to be around €20 million, including performance-based add-ons. He will wear the number 3 shirt at Arsenal and has already joined the squad for their pre-season tour in Singapore.

His arrival continues Mikel Arteta’s push to strengthen Arsenal’s defence ahead of the new season, with Mosquera joining a growing group of Spanish-speaking players at the club.
