APC Wins Chairmanship Seats in Epe, Eredo, Ibeju-Lekki

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the chairmanship elections across Epe, Eredo, and Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Areas, following the official results announced by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).
The announcements were made late Saturday night, around 11:55 p.m., by LASIEC officials at the respective local government secretariats.
In Epe Local Government, the Returning Officer, Professor Habeeb Sanni, declared the APC candidate winner with 34,819 votes. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) trailed behind with 1,535 votes, while the Labour Party secured 675.
“Having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of valid votes, I hereby declare Ms Surah Animashaun as the duly elected chairman of Epe LG,” Sanni declared.
In Eredo Local Council Development Area, Dr Afolabi Onasanya, who served as returning officer, announced that APC secured 25,017 votes, defeating the PDP, which polled 424 votes.
“Having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of valid votes, I hereby declare Mr Monsuru Akinloye as the duly elected chairman of Eredo LCDA,” Onasanya said.
Over in Ibeju-Lekki, Mr Bankole Oduntan, the returning officer, announced that APC won with 59,342 votes. The Labour Party managed 45 votes, while the PDP garnered 740.
“Having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of valid votes, I hereby declare Mr Sesan Olowa as the duly elected chairman of Ibeju-Lekki LG,” Oduntan said.
