APC Ogun State Suspends Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin Indefinitely Over Anti-Party Activities

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has officially confirmed the indefinite suspension of Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin over alleged anti-party conduct.
The decision, approved by the State Working Committee (SWC), follows the duo’s failure to cooperate with disciplinary investigations conducted by their respective wards.
The SWC, chaired by Chief Yemi Sanusi, convened on August 19 with sixteen members in attendance to review reports from Disciplinary Committees in Ward 4 and Ward 6 of Sagamu Local Government.
Daniel and Folarin were accused of engaging in activities that violated party directives and attempting to influence party members to retract petitions filed against them. Both members ignored invitations to present evidence or defend themselves before the committees.
The party noted that they failed to attend disciplinary meetings, did not submit written defenses, and allegedly harassed party members to obstruct the inquiries.
After reviewing witness statements and documentary evidence, the committees recommended indefinite suspensions for both, pending the outcome of further investigations.
The SWC endorsed the suspensions to uphold the integrity of the party’s disciplinary process and reinforce adherence to its constitution.
APC Ogun State’s Director of Publicity, Nuberu Olufemi, stated that the ratification underscores the party’s commitment to internal discipline and ensuring all members comply with its rules.
