APC Governors Officially Endorse Tinubu For 2027 Presidential Election

Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
The endorsement took place on Thursday, May 22, 2025, during the APC National Summit held at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja.
Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Hope Uzodimma, moved the motion for Tinubu’s adoption, which was promptly seconded by Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, who also serves as the PGF Vice Chairman. The governors pledged to fully support Tinubu’s re-election bid and mobilize resources to ensure his victory across their states.
The move was further backed by the APC leadership in the National Assembly. Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and other federal lawmakers aligned with the endorsement, emphasizing Tinubu’s achievements in office and the need to consolidate on his policies.
The collective declaration highlights the party’s unity and confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership as preparations for the 2027 elections begin to take shape.
