Angela Okorie Apologises to Mercy Johnson and Ned Nwoko After Heated Online Feud

Actress Angela Okorie has issued a public apology to her colleague Mercy Johnson and billionaire senator Ned Nwoko following weeks of intense online backlash over her controversial outbursts, which also dragged Regina Daniels into the spotlight.
The apology, shared on Angela’s Instagram page on Friday, comes after she repeatedly attacked Mercy in several video rants. She accompanied the post with photos of Mercy, her husband Prince Odi Okojie, and Ned Nwoko — notably omitting Regina, who had fiercely defended Mercy during the feud.
“Hi beautiful people, these past days have been a period of intense reflection for me. Lately, having reminisced on certain events that had transpired, I can only thank God that I am alive,” she wrote.
Addressing Mercy directly, Angela continued:
“It’s no secret that there have been some difficult issues circulating on social media between Mercy Johnson and myself. Moving forward, I would like to address this matter.
I am human, and when my emotions take over, I speak from the heart… I realise now that my utterances, whether uttered from a place of pain or not, were hurtful… I feel so sorry having realised how this gets to you, Mercy. Your mental health is very important now and ever & I wouldn’t wish you and your family worse. That’s not my nature, and you know it. Do find a place in your heart to forgive me.”
She also extended an apology to Senator Ned Nwoko, whom she had insulted while reacting to Regina Daniels’ defense of Mercy.
“My sincere apology also goes to Senator Ned Nwoko. I understand that my anger in trying to make a reply didn’t find you in a good state… I truly reacted in a way I now recognise wasn’t pleasant. I cannot intentionally disrespect you for whatever reason,” Angela added.
The drama began on June 3 when Angela went live on Instagram, alleging that Mercy was seriously ill. Though she claimed to have forgiven her, Angela went on to question Mercy’s spirituality and implied that her weight loss was due to spiritual consequences — not fitness or slimming tea. She also accused Mercy of hurting people in the industry without remorse.
Angela’s statements sparked outrage and prompted a fiery response from Regina Daniels, who slammed her in a series of Instagram Stories.
“With all due respect, Aunty Angela, you dey mad! Abeg no forgive… we no dey forgive… no dey shalaye. She get pikin wey gidigba,” Regina wrote.
She went further to accuse Angela of bitterness, claiming the actress struggled with her lines on set until Mercy stepped in to help her. Regina also alleged that Angela once had interest in her husband Ned Nwoko.
Angela clapped back with another video, mocking Regina’s marriage and warning her to stay in her lane.
Despite the heated exchanges, Mercy Johnson kept her silence throughout. The next day, she announced a new brand endorsement deal, carefully sidestepping the controversy entirely.
