Amagu Stakeholders Reject Fake Endorsement of Ogah’s Third Term

Key stakeholders in Ndufu Amagu Ward 1, Ikwo Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, have rejected reports claiming their endorsement of Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah’s third-term bid, calling the narrative false and misleading.

The controversy began following the circulation of a purported statement, allegedly orchestrated by Mrs. Chinasa Nwanchor, the Coordinator of Ikwo South Development Centre, along with Ward Councillor Hon. Mmaduabuchi Nwanchor and Mr. Jonathan Alo.

The statement claimed that the ward’s leadership had unanimously endorsed Ogah for a third term in office.

However, in a strongly-worded press release, the stakeholders of Ndufu Amagu Ward 1 categorically denied these claims, describing them as “fabricated” and “misinforming.”

They further clarified that during a meeting held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Ndiofoke Amagu playground, the ward leaders and APC members had only endorsed the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, alongside Governor Rt. Hon. Bldr. Prince Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his second-term bid.

The stakeholders asserted that at no point did they give any endorsement for Chinedu Ogah’s third-term ambition, distancing themselves entirely from the claims attributed to Mrs. Nwanchor, Hon. Mmaduabuchi Nwanchor, and Mr. Jonathan Alo.

“We, the undersigned stakeholders of Ndufu Amagu Ward 1, unequivocally disassociate ourselves from the fraudulent endorsement of Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah,” the statement read. “Such opinions, which do not reflect the collective will of our ward, are the personal views of the individuals involved and do not represent the position of the wider community.”
