AMACOMS Set to Host Departmental Dinner/Award Party

The Association of Mass Communication Students, AMACOMS, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ebonyi State is gearing up to host its annual department dinner party on 21st September 2024.
In an interview with Asiwaju Media on Tuesday, the President, Ogbonna Victor the event themed, “Our theme, ‘Celebrating Excellence, Fostering Synergy,’ was inspired by the need to recognize outstanding achievements and bridge gaps between students, alumni, and faculty. We aim to create an evening of inspiration, connection, and celebration.”
He noted that the dinner party will feature networking sessions, keynote addresses, and award presentations, all designed to promote the association’s objectives and foster camaraderie among stakeholders.

“The dinner party will feature networking sessions, keynote addresses, and award presentations, all designed to promote our association’s objectives, foster camaraderie, and strengthen relationships among stakeholders,” Victor said.
“Expect captivating performances, interactive activities, recognition of individual achievements through award presentations, and a documentary showcasing our department’s achievements. These activities will facilitate engagement, encourage collaboration, and highlight our association’s impact,” he added.
Notable nominees for awards include notable alumni executives, students, and parents of the mass communication department recognized for their exceptional contributions.
“Notable nominees include Notable Alumni Executives and students, students of mass communication department and beyond, men who have made an impact in student politics and the secular society, outstanding students who are academically sound and exceptional in character and achievements, parents of mass communication department recognized for their exceptional contributions. Their dedication embodies our association’s values,” Victor emphasized.
The President called on the students and alumni to recognize the Association of Mass Communication Students as a catalyst for professional growth, networking, and innovation.

“Our collective efforts will shape the future of mass communication professionals, fostering excellence and leadership in our industry,” he said.
Victor concluded by stating that the department dinner party is expected to strengthen relationships, spark mentorship opportunities, and inspire a sense of community among attendees.
