Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade, Marks 50th Birthday with Reflections and Tradition

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade, has marked his 50th birthday, reflecting on a life shaped by royalty, culture, and spiritual purpose.
In a message shared on Instagram, the monarch expressed deep gratitude to God and paid homage to his ancestors, embracing the next phase of his journey with hope and reverence.
“Today, I turn 50. Five decades of divine purpose. A journey of crown, culture and calling. I give glory to God and honor to my ancestors. May the next chapters be blessed with wisdom and peace,” he wrote.
To celebrate the milestone, Oba Owoade hosted a traditional service at Ijo Ifa Adimula in Bara, Oyo State—underscoring his commitment to the spiritual and cultural legacy of the ancient Oyo kingdom.
