The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade, has marked his 50th birthday, reflecting on a life shaped by royalty, culture, and spiritual purpose.
In a message shared on Instagram, the monarch expressed deep gratitude to God and paid homage to his ancestors, embracing the next phase of his journey with hope and reverence.
“Today, I turn 50. Five decades of divine purpose. A journey of crown, culture and calling. I give glory to God and honor to my ancestors. May the next chapters be blessed with wisdom and peace,” he wrote.
To celebrate the milestone, Oba Owoade hosted a traditional service at Ijo Ifa Adimula in Bara, Oyo State—underscoring his commitment to the spiritual and cultural legacy of the ancient Oyo kingdom.
His golden jubilee comes just days after he and his wife, Olori Abiwumi Owoade, celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary, marking yet another chapter of enduring partnership and royal service.
