AFCON2024: FG Pledges To Reward Super Eagles

The Federal Govt has pledged to reward the Super Eagles for their outstanding performance against Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the, AFCON2024, African Cup of Nation Semi finals.
This was according to a post on the Super Eagles X account on Thursday.
Nigeria Vice President Kashim Shettima who was in Côte d’Ivoire for the semi final match stated this while addressing the players after the AFCON2024 match.
He aplauede their relentless efforts in reaching the final of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations,
“The government and the people of Nigeria are proud of their accomplishment” he stated.
Also, Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu pf Lagos State has commended the super eagles for their Win.
In a post of his X acoount, he described their performance as heroic.
“‘We did it!!!! So proud of our Super Eagles for finding that extra tenacity to push through. From Nwabali with the in-match and penalty heroics to Ekong to Osimhen for taking initiative to help us score in the match and to the silent hero, Coach José Peseiro, everyone dug deep to give us this one”
”Off to the finals and by God’s grace the Cup. For now, we’re playing @asakemusik’s Amapiano for the rest of the week”
Netizens have also continued to celebrate Super Eagles qualification to the final on different social media platforms, urging Super Eagles to go for the cup. They also used the opportunity to call on Political Office holders to look into other areas of development to maintain the current momentum.
