ADC: Peter Obi Has Stepped Aside for Atiku Abubakar – Bwala Claims

Daniel Bwala, one of the spokespersons for President Bola Tinubu, stated on Monday that Mr Peter Obi has effectively conceded his presidential ambition to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

He further claimed that Obi has been relegated to a secondary role and now finds himself contending for the vice-presidential ticket with former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

Bwala made the remarks while responding to questions on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.

Atiku, Obi, and Amaechi are all affiliated with the recently launched coalition platform, the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

According to Bwala, Obi has been positioned to assume the role of Director-General of the campaign to lead the ADC.

He said: “Peter Obi now is a non-issue. He’s a non starter. Already, he has conceded his presidential ambition to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

“Now he has become a second fiddle but he needs to fight for the vice presidential ticket with Rotimi Amaechi. And from what we are hearing they have convinced him that he will be Director General of the campaign to lead the movement, and that when they win election, Atiku will do one time and then Peter Obi will come back to become president.”
