Access The Full Benefits of Free Health Care Services – NHIA

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has urged 2024 Batch B stream II corps members to take opportunity of the Free Health care services offered by the Federal Government through NYSC.
The Representative of NHIA , Amahalu informed them that the health insurance scheme covers Corps members for one year starting from their mobilization date.
According to Mrs Amahalu, the GIFSHIP-N provides services for corps members through NHIA-accredited hospitals.
She said the insurance scheme covers services like outpatient, inpatient, specialist care and maternity services with referrals to secondary or tertiary healthcare institutions if need be.
Chiaka explained that family and friends can also benefit from the program through GIFSHIP-G, which provides healthcare at subsidized rates.
While some services like CT scans and MRIs are partially covered, the scheme excludes coverage for epidemics, extreme sports, and cosmetic procedures. She therefore encouraged Corps members to register immediately to access the full benefits of the program.
