2Face’s African Queen Tops Billboard’s List Of Top 50 Afrobeats Songs Of All-Time

Billboard has released its list of the Top 50 Best Afrobeats Songs of All-Time, with 2Face’s “African Queen” claiming the number one spot.

The list, curated by Billboard staff, sees Wizkid as the only artist with two entries in the top 10: “Ojuelegba” at number 2 and “Essence” featuring Tems at number 5.

Other top 10 entries include Favour’s “Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix)” at number 3, Rema’s “Calm Down” at number 4, and CKay’s “Love Nwantiti” at number 6.

While Nigerian artists dominate the rankings, Ghanaian stars also make an appearance. Fuse ODG’s “Azonto” featuring Itz Tiffany is at number 18, and Sarkodie’s “Adonai” featuring Castro is at number 19.

Yemi Alade is the highest-ranked female lead with “Johnny” at number 15.

Other notable top 20 songs include Styl-Plus’ “Olufunmi” at number 11, 9ice’s “Gongo Aso” at number 12, and P-Square’s “Do Me” at number 13.

The top 20 also features hits from Wande Coal, Phyno, and Davido, reflecting the diversity and richness of Afrobeats music.
