23-Year-Old Woman Nabbed with Guns, Cash in Kogi Lodge Raid

The Kogi State Police Command has taken into custody a 23-year-old woman after she was found with firearms and other incriminating items at a lodge in Oguda village, Okene.
In a statement on Friday, the command confirmed that operatives from the Okene Division, acting on credible intelligence, stormed the Yuwander Lodge — a location allegedly known as a criminal hideout. The raid led to the arrest of the suspect, identified as Charity Williams.
Items recovered during the operation included one locally made Beretta pistol, six rounds of 9mm live ammunition, an axe, hard drugs, four mobile phones, and the sum of N2,047,300.
The Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya, said the discovery was made in a room booked by one Christopher Christopher Kadiri, who is now on the run. “Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspect at large, while the investigation is ongoing,” he added.
In a separate operation, officers attached to the Ofu Division recovered a locally made barrel gun at Ogbakpedo village along the Itobe-Ayigba Road. Aya explained that the recovery followed a tip-off that suspected kidnappers had been sighted in the area.
According to him, the suspects fled on sighting the patrol team, but a thorough search of the bush led to the recovery of the gun, a cutlass, a mobile phone, and other items
