2027: APC Calls Secret Meeting with ADC State Chairmen to Frustrate Coalition , ADC Alleges

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the Tinubu administration of orchestrating a desperate and dangerous plot to destabilize the party and undermine the growing acceptance of a new opposition coalition.
In a statement, the ADC alleged that former state chairmen and key members in the North East and North West were summoned to a secret meeting with federal government officials.
The party claims the meeting’s aim is to “intimidate, coerce, and if possible, co-opt these individuals into a fabricated scheme against the opposition coalition,” calling it an act of sabotage designed to sow confusion, delegitimize its new leadership, and derail its momentum as a credible opposition force.
The ADC views this as a “coordinated assault on multiparty democracy” and a move towards a one-party state.
The ADC asserts that the ruling party has been “rattled” by the recent formation of the coalition, suggesting that the Tinubu administration, having lost public trust, is now resorting to old tactics of destabilizing opposition parties rather than addressing national challenges.
The party declared that the coalition movement’s time has come, representing Nigerians who seek to restore decency and justice to governance.
The ADC vowed to resist any attempts to establish a one-party dictatorship through all democratic means and urged President Tinubu to call his appointees to order.
They also reminded the president that the current ruling party would not have come to power in 2015 if the previous administration had been similarly intolerant of the opposition.
