Two Arrested for Stealing Electrical Materials in Ebonyi

Two individuals, Sunday Ekpo and Mmaduabuchi Johnson, were arrested on Thursday allegedly stealing government-owned electrical wires and other materials in Nnoyo Alike, Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The suspects were apprehended around 2:00 PM by operatives under the command of DHO Mgbebu Felix, the head of the NFSS Ikwo Division.
According to the police, the duo had intended to sell the stolen materials for quick financial gain.
During questioning, both suspects confessed to their crime, admitting they targeted the items to profit from the sale. Sunday Ekpo hails from Ndufu Alieke, while Mmaduabuchi Johnson is also a resident of the area.
The suspects have since been handed over to the Nnoyo Police Division for further investigation. Authorities have expressed their commitment to holding the perpetrators accountable and have called for increased vigilance in the region.
The operation has been hailed as another success for the ongoing efforts of local security agencies to combat theft and other criminal activities in the state.
