Presidency Announces Special FEC Session, Prayers in Honour of Late President Muhammadu Buhari

As part of the official mourning activities approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, a special expanded session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) will be held on Thursday, July 17, in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
The session is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja. It will follow the Third Day prayer for the late President at his residence in Daura, Katsina State, where Vice President Kashim Shettima is expected to lead a federal government delegation, including Cabinet Ministers.
According to a press statement signed by Rabiu Ibrahim, Special Assistant (Media) to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, the expanded FEC meeting will include top government officials, members of the National Assembly, the Judiciary, and representatives of the late President’s family.
Additional memorial activities will continue on Friday, July 18, with a Special Prayer Session at the National Mosque in Abuja, while a Special Church Service will hold on Sunday, July 20.
These events are part of the Federal Government’s tributes to the legacy and service of the late former President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
