Lagos Corps Members Furnish Corpers’ Lodge with New Amenities

Corps members in Lagos have demonstrated a strong sense of Epe community by furnishing the recently renovated Corpers’ Lodge with essential amenities, aimed at improving accommodation conditions for future corp members posted to the area.
The renovation was initiated earlier this year by ex-corps member Osifeko Wahab Fatimat Yewande (LA/24A/10327), who undertook the project to restore the lodge to a habitable state. Building on this foundation, the current corps members in Lagos have contributed eight mattresses, two bunk beds, four burglary-proof installations, and completed the electrical wiring for the lodge.

Before the renovation, the lodge was abandoned due to its dilapidated state, leaving new corps members facing significant accommodation challenges.
The renovation and subsequent furnishing are in line with the NYSC’s Community Development Service (CDS) objective, which encourages corps members to solve local challenges and contribute positively to their host communities.
