AIG Decorates 28 Newly Promoted Officers in Anambra, Urges Professional Conduct

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13, Ukpo, Anambra State, Abayomi Peter Oladipo, has decorated 28 officers recently promoted from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II), urging them to uphold professionalism and embrace greater responsibility.

The decoration ceremony was held on Thursday at the Zone 13 Police Headquarters, Ukpo, in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Mr Oladipo congratulated the officers on their promotion, describing it as both a recognition of past diligence and a call to higher service. He charged them to discharge their duties with integrity, honour and discipline, noting that promotion comes with increased expectations and accountability.
“The reward for hard work is more work,” the AIG told the newly promoted officers, urging them to remain committed to the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.
He also commended the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and the Police Service Commission for their sustained commitment to personnel welfare and capacity building through timely promotions.
The event was attended by members of the zonal management team, senior police officers, families of the promotees and other invited guests.
A statement on the ceremony was signed by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Chidera Samuel Oha, on behalf of the AIG, Zone 13, Ukpo.
