Afonja Warriors Spice Up the Final, Leave Rice Boys with an Empty Bowl

Kwara United have secured the 2025 President Federation Cup men’s title after edging Abakaliki FC 4-3 on penalties in a tense final.
It marks the first time in the club’s history that Tunde Sanni’s side have lifted the prestigious trophy.
The match ended goalless after regulation time, despite Kwara United creating the clearer opportunities but failing to convert their chances.
Abakaliki FC, known for their gritty displays and recently relegated to the Nationwide League, put up a spirited fight but ultimately came up short.
In the decisive shootout, the Afonja Warriors kept their composure to bury four kicks, while the Rice Farmers could only manage three.
