Abakaliki FC Faces Kwara United Today in Federation Cup Final

Abakaliki FC, famously nicknamed the Rice Boys and Giant Killers, is set to make history this Saturday as they clash with Kwara United in the much-anticipated Federation Cup final.
The Final match will take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Saturday, June 28, 2025, with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 PM.
In a rallying message to fans, Hon. Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, called on all Ebonyi indigenes, supporters, and football enthusiasts in Lagos and across the country to turn out en masse and cheer the team to victory.

“This is a historic moment for Ebonyi State, proudly unfolding under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, the Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, championing the People’s Charter of Needs Agenda,” the statement read.
Supporters are encouraged to flood the stadium with unity and pride, showcasing the spirit and resilience of Ebonyi State on the national stage.
Best wishes were extended to the players, coaching crew, and travelling fans for a safe journey and a memorable day of glory.
For Ebonyi football, this final represents more than a match—it is an opportunity to etch Abakaliki FC’s name into Nigerian football history.
