2027: Ishielu Youths Endorses C-Sagas for Ebonyi Central Senate

The Amalgamated Ishielu Youths Home and Diaspora (AIYHD) has formally endorsed Christian Asaga Nwali for the Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a communiqué issued on April 12, 2026, the group said the endorsement followed extensive deliberations on the political future and democratic representation of the zone.

AIYHD described Nwali, a high chief and chairman of the C-Sagas Group, as its “preferred and supported candidate.”

The group highlighted what it termed a longstanding imbalance in the zone’s senatorial representation.
According to the communiqué, Ishielu Local Government Area had held the senatorial seat for 16 years through leaders such as Julius Ali Ucha and Obinna Ogba, while Ikwo Local Government Area has not produced a senator since Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999.

AIYHD argued that the situation represents a “democratic imbalance” and called for equity through rotational representation. It also backed a recent call by the United Ikwo Youths for Good Governance urging Nwali to declare his senatorial ambition.

Describing Nwali as a leader with “distinguished professional accomplishment, philanthropic dedication, and visionary leadership,” the group said his track record in business and charity demonstrates his commitment to public welfare.

The organisation appealed to stakeholders across Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone—including communities in Ezza South and Ezza North—to rally behind his candidacy in the spirit of fairness and unity.

AIYHD also pledged to mobilise financial support and grassroots votes to ensure Nwali’s victory, expressing confidence that he would deliver quality representation and champion development if elected.

“The time for justice, equity, and Ikwo is now,” the group declared, reaffirming its commitment to his candidacy for the 2027 elections.
