Amaechi Wife Stole N4B Every Month, Says Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has accused Dame Judith Amaechi, wife of former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi, of receiving Amaechi wife N4 billion every month from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) throughout ex-President Muhammadu Buhari’s eight years in office.
Wike made this explosive allegation during an interview on Channels Television on Friday, claiming that the Amaechi wife N4 billion payments were supposedly allocated to train Niger Delta women. According to him, the funds were regularly channelled to Dame Amaechi, raising serious concerns about accountability and transparency in the management of NDDC resources.
“I am telling you authoritatively that every month, Amaechi wife N4 billion was going to her in the name of training Niger Delta women,” Wike declared. “Let anyone conduct a forensic audit. If it is proven to be false, I will resign immediately from public office.”
The statement has triggered strong reactions in political circles, with many stakeholders demanding an urgent investigation to ascertain the veracity of the claims.
At the time of reporting, neither Dame Judith Amaechi nor the NDDC had issued any official response to the allegation.
This development marks another escalation in the long-standing political rivalry between Wike and Rotimi Amaechi, both influential figures in Rivers State politics over the past two decades.
