Rivers Police Warn Women That Collecting Transport Fare Without Visit Is A Punishable Offence

The spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, has warned that women who collect transport fare from men without showing up can be punished under the law.
In a viral video, she stated, “Why will you collect transport fare from a man without going to see him? It’s a punishable offence. It is obtaining money under false pretence — 419.”
Her remarks have since sparked heated debate online, with many men praising her for clarifying that the act could lead to jail time, while others questioned the practicality of enforcing such a law.
