Regina Daniels Slams Angela Okorie Over Mercy Johnson Forgiveness Claim

In a bold and unapologetic response, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has clapped back at Angela Okorie following her recent claim that she had forgiven Mercy Johnson because of Mercy’s illness.
Angela Okorie suggested she showed mercy due to Mercy Johnson’s health situation, but Regina was quick to shut down the narrative, defending Mercy with sharp words on social media:
“I’m sorry and with all due respect, aunty Angela, you dey mad! Abeg no forgive because for this side, we no dey forgive. Continue—and whilst at it, no forget say she get pikin wey gidigba. No dey shalaye!!!”
Regina’s powerful reply emphasizes that Mercy Johnson deserves respect, not conditional forgiveness or pity. Her words made it clear that Mercy’s strength and dignity remain unquestionable, and that Angela’s so-called forgiveness is unwelcome.

This comes amid ongoing tensions, as Angela Okorie had previously unfollowed Regina Daniels after she publicly celebrated Mercy Johnson’s 40th birthday, accusing Regina of disloyalty and making personal attacks related to her marriage.
Regina’s staunch defense signals her loyalty to Mercy and her refusal to entertain veiled insults or half-hearted apologies. Her message has resonated widely, with many fans applauding her fearless stand in protecting a fellow actress from public disrespect.
The exchange highlights the bitter divide in Nollywood but also showcases Regina’s readiness to speak up and demand respect where it’s due.
