The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Lagos State has finalized arrangements for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course, scheduled to commence on April 22 at the Temporary Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja.

The State Coordinator, Mrs. Christiana Salmwang, disclosed that the camp is fully prepared to receive prospective corps members, following extensive sanitation and renovation efforts.

Ahead of the exercise, camp officials carried out comprehensive cleaning, fumigation, and environmental sanitation to ensure a safe and conducive atmosphere. Key areas such as the parade ground, lecture venues, administrative offices, clinic, market, and registration centres have been put in proper condition.

Hostel facilities were also thoroughly cleaned, with attention given to rooms, corridors, and sanitary areas to enhance comfort and hygiene.

In addition, the third phase of renovation works has been completed. This includes plumbing repairs in the female hostel, installation of fans, and upgrades to the kitchen and camp hall. Painting of facilities is ongoing as part of broader improvements.

The fourth phase of the renovation is expected to continue after the orientation exercise.

With these measures in place, the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp is set to welcome prospective corps members for the three-week programme.
