Makinde Tells PDP Members: Don’t Abandon the Party Over Temporary Setbacks

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its allied groups to remain committed to the party’s shared vision of unity, progress, and development, despite internal challenges.
Addressing the PDP South West Zonal Caucus meeting in Ibadan on Friday, Makinde urged members not to walk away from the party, likening such actions to abandoning a house because of a leaking roof.
“You can’t abandon your house because of a leaking roof,” he stated. “The PDP is built on solid foundations, and like any structure, it may experience wear and tear. It is our responsibility as party members to fix the leaks, reinforce the foundation, and ensure the house remains standing for the people of this country.”
He praised the sacrifices and dedication of party members and leaders and pledged to work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the PDP’s success in future elections.
“Let us fix the roof together and keep this house strong for the future,” he added.
