Foundation Opens Applications for ₦25m Tertiary Scholarship In Ebonyi

The C-Sagas Charity Foundation has announced the commencement of applications for its 2026 Tertiary Education Scholarship Award, valued at ₦25 million, targeting undergraduate students from Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The scholarship scheme, according to the foundation, is part of its sustained commitment to promoting educational development and expanding economic opportunities for young people in Ikwo and beyond.

The initiative also aligns with the development agenda of the Ebonyi State government under Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, particularly the administration’s People’s Charter of Needs mantra.

The foundation was established by Christian Asaga Nwali, an architect and businessman, alongside his wife, Ugochi Irene Asaga Nwali.

Eligibility criteria

According to the announcement, applicants must be indigenes of Ikwo LGA and must be currently enrolled in 100 or 200 level in any recognised Nigerian university.

Students in 100 level are required to present evidence of admission, a minimum score of 200 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and proof of payment of first-year tuition fees. Applicants in 200 level must submit their first-year academic results showing a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.00.

All applicants are also expected to participate in, and perform excellently in, a screening test examination to be conducted by the foundation.

Application requirements

Applicants are to submit the following documents: an application letter addressed to the State Coordinator of the foundation; copies of JAMB admission letter and result slip; evidence of payment of recent school fees; first-year results for 200-level students; local government identification letter; student identity card; and a letter of recommendation or character reference from a clergy member, traditional or community ruler, a member of the foundation’s management team, or ward representatives.

Mode of application

The foundation stated that all required documents must be submitted in PDF or JPEG format through any of the following channels: via email at infocsagascharityfoundation@gmail.com; through the Secretary of the Education Team, Engr. Dr. Friday Achibong, on 08034258869; or by physical submission at Aim Communication and Skill Development Centre, 4 Calabar Street, off Waterworks Road, Abakaliki.

Applicants have been advised to clearly state their full names, electoral wards, and phone numbers as the subject of their email submissions.

Deadline and examination date

The deadline for submission of applications is 12 midnight, April 10, 2026.

The screening examination and award of scholarships are scheduled for April 18, 2026, at the Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo, with the examination set to begin promptly at 10 a.m.

The announcement was jointly signed by Obisi Nweke, State Coordinator of the C-Sagas Charity Foundation in Ebonyi State, and Arthur Nwachukwu, Head of the Education and Skill Development Team of the foundation.
