Senator Olajide Ipinsagba’s Aide Resigns Over N20,000 Monthly Salary

Oluwatunbosun Awe, a longtime aide to Nigerian senator Olajide Ipinsagba, has resigned from his position, citing a monthly salary of just N20,000 as the reason.
Awe had been with the senator for nearly two decades, beginning his political journey as a campaign secretary in 2006. Over the years, he served in various capacities, including as personal assistant and Ward Liaison Officer for Isowopo Ward 2 in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State.
In a statement, Awe said his decision to resign was driven by the unsustainable salary, which remained unchanged despite multiple appeals for a review.
His resignation has stirred reactions online, with many criticizing the senator’s alleged neglect. As of now, Senator Ipinsagba has not publicly responded to the claims.
