Nollywood Actor Ibrahim Chatta Loses Son, Fans And Colleagues Offer Condolences

Popular Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta is in mourning following the death of his son.
The 54-year-old actor shared the heartbreaking news on his Instagram page on Saturday, though he did not disclose the circumstances surrounding his son’s passing. Accompanying a photo of the boy, Chatta wrote, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ.”
Fans and colleagues quickly flooded the comments section with messages of condolence. The tragedy comes just days after veteran actress Peju Ogunmola also lost her only son, Ayomikun, who was in his early 30s and died in Ibadan earlier this week. The back-to-back losses have sent shockwaves through the Nollywood community.
Chatta had previously recounted losing his first child, a daughter, years ago, attributing her death to financial hardship and inadequate medical care. He revealed that he was forced to bury her in an old wooden Coca-Cola crate after being unable to afford a proper coffin.
