Co-Pilot of Air India Crash Identified as Clive Kunder

The co-pilot involved in the recent Air India crash near Ahmedabad has been identified as Clive Kunder, a 34-year-old First Officer from coastal Karnataka.

Kunder had logged approximately 1,100 flight hours, slightly below the 1,500 hours typically required to qualify as a captain. Despite his limited experience, he was described as a dedicated and disciplined pilot.

The captain of the ill-fated flight, Sumeet Sabharwal, had over 8,200 flight hours and was considered a seasoned professional.

The crash, which claimed the lives of 241 people with only one known survivor, has prompted a full investigation into both technical and human factors, including the experience levels of the flight crew.

Authorities say a thorough review of cockpit voice and data recorders is underway to determine the exact cause of the disaster.
