ACCI urges business-friendly policies in 2025 budget for economic growth

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), has called on the Federal Government to prioritise business-friendly policies in the 2025 budget to foster economic growth and stability.
In a Christmas message delivered in Abuja, ACCI President, Dr. Emeka Obegolu, highlighted the importance of addressing critical challenges faced by businesses, including access to affordable financing, infrastructure development, and the provision of tax incentives to promote entrepreneurship and innovation.
“The business community is the engine of economic growth. The 2025 budget must reflect this by creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, thereby driving job creation and national development,” Obegolu said.
The ACCI president also expressed concern over the tragic stampedes during palliative distributions in Anambra, Oyo, and Abuja, which resulted in the loss of lives. He described these incidents as preventable and urged the government to improve systems to ensure the safety and dignity of recipients during future distributions.
Commending the resilience of Nigerians and ACCI members in 2024 despite economic challenges, Obegolu extended warm festive greetings and urged the business community to remain optimistic about the opportunities for growth and collaboration in 2025.
