I’m In Pain – Comfort Emmanson Breaks Silence After Court Discharge

Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger recently discharged by a Lagos court, has spoken out for the first time since her release from Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
In a post on Instagram shortly after regaining freedom on Wednesday, Emmanson expressed deep gratitude for the prayers and support she received while hinting at the harsh treatment she endured.
“Thank you so much for all the prayers, love, and support. I’ve been released from prison, but I’m still in pain because of how I was treated. I just need some rest and medical treatment before I share my own version of events. Thank you, my lovely friends and supporters — I truly appreciate you all from the bottom of my heart. God bless you all. THANK YOU, MY GREAT GOD!!!” she wrote.
Her statement came just hours after an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court struck out the five-count charge against her, following the Federal Government’s directive to withdraw the case.
Emmanson was arrested on August 10 over an alleged altercation with cabin crew during an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos. She has promised to share her side of the story after resting and receiving medical care.
