AGN Suspends Actress Shirley Igwe Over Alleged Assault On Crew Member

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has suspended Nollywood actress Shirley Igwe indefinitely over assault claims by a crew member on a movie set.
Reports indicate that Igwe allegedly slapped a member of the Creative Designers Guild of Nigeria (CDGN) during a production, prompting swift disciplinary measures.
In a statement addressed to its national and state chapter leaders, the AGN said the suspension was due to “violence and acts of indiscipline capable of discrediting the acting profession.”
The Guild also instructed all members to steer clear of any film project involving Igwe until investigations are concluded.
